Field Study A1

Soft Edge
Targasonne, France

Targasonne’s gneiss offers a rough, high-friction surface suited for bouldering, with short approaches and varied terrain shaping contact and movement.

A system built for everyday sessions, combining lightweight structure, breathable materials, and precise cuts for movement across approach and rock.

The FANG SlowCotton™ T-Shirt is developed in organic cotton through a shibori hand-dye process, creating a mud-effect surface. Cropped and slim, it stays close to the body, improving airflow and reducing excess fabric during movement. The PARABOLT EchoAir™ Pant uses a lightweight ripstop polyamide, balancing resistance and breathability. Its silhouette sits between regular and relaxed, allowing full knee flexion, heel hooks, and free movement, while the elastic waistband keeps a stable fit.

Open volume contained by precise edges. Form, material, and body remain within the same limits, extending only where contact is maintained. No separation from the surface.
